The Mint 400 with Unlimited Off-Road Racing series announces ongoing partnership with Temecula, CA-based Doffo winery to produce an ongoing series of limited edition wines beginning with 2024 Mint 400 Red Wine Blend – Mistura. Doffo Winery will produce limited edition wines for all three 3 of the Unlimited Off-Road Racing races The Parker 400, The Mint 400, and The California 300 under the Moto Doffo Label. Known for their bold, complex wines Doffo Winery second generation family operated winery with the most unique tasting rooms on the West Coast featuring a massive vintage motorcycle collection. The winery was started by Marcelo Doffo who has been a lifetime motorcycle enthusiast and has passed his passion onto his son Damian and daughters Samantha and Brigitte, who now run the operations of the boutique winery.
“There is a passion that racing and winemaking share, you have to be obsessive in both to be successful. Many racers have owned wineries, there is something about balancing the intensity of racing with the serenity of farming. Wine has always been given to the race winners since the beginning of auto racing in fact the first sanctioned automobile race, the Paris-Bordeaux-Paris rally raced through the famed wine region of France. In 1932, the French Grand Prix was first hosted at Reims-Gueux, the track was made up of rural public roads in France’s Champagne region and the race was used as a promotion for the wine of the region, Champagne. Fast forward to when Dan Gurney famously sprayed Champagne (which is a wine) after winning 1967 Le Mans 24 hours. It cemented Champagne into the culture of racing permanently. For over 55 years, The Mint 400 has been recognized as North America’s most challenging and awe-inspiring off-road race. Originally conceived as a promotional event for the Mint Hotel’s yearly deer hunt, it quickly evolved from a mere hotel marketing strategy into a bona fide desert racing competition. Since its resurgence in 2008, “The Great American Off-Road Race” has only grown in prestige, attracting larger and more competitive participant fields each year, making victory even more elusive. It stands as a must-experience event for both racers and enthusiasts of off-road racing.

The Mint 400 Limited Edition 2024 Mint 400 Red Wine Blend – Mistura is a 40% Syrah 60% Cabernet Sauvignon blend rested 18 months in 100% American Oak Barrel, hand picked the second week of September 2019. Featuring beautiful ruby red color with medium intensity clean and bright. A wide range of aromas are present in this wine. Violets, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, cherry candy, juicy plum, black licorice, graphite, black tea, black olives, cedar, a hind of leather, mushrooms, black pepper, vanilla, coffee, caramel, and dark chocolate. This Pleasant mouth-coating wine with flavors of red berry fruits, lifted by the acidity and the toasted accents from the oak to leave us with elegant persistence.

The Mint 400 festivities begin Wednesday, March 6th with the “11th Annual Mint 400 Vehicle Procession” and continue on Thursday, March 7th on historic Fremont Street with the “Mint 400 Off-Road Festival.” The festival will be open from 9 am to 6 pm under the Fremont Street Experience canopy and on Fremont Street East. Over 150 off-road vendors and exhibitors will display their products in front of a massive crowd of racers and enthusiasts, including nearly 500 race teams. The event is free to the public. Then on Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th, the 56th Annual BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 will host two days of thrilling racing from their official start/finish midway behind Buffalo Bill’s Hotel and Casino in Primm, NV.
