Vision athletes look for overall wins in the Great American Off-Road Race
Continuing a multi-year relationship, Vision Wheel will return to the 2021 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 as a supporting sponsor of the event, Mint 400 officials announced today. In addition to supporting the latest edition of the Great American Off-Road Race, numerous Vision Wheel athletes will be taking part in two full days of race action on Friday and Saturday in hopes of taking the overall victory.
“Vision Wheel has been a longtime supporter of the BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400, and we’re looking forward to welcoming them back as a sponsor of our 2021 race,” said Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli. “With some of the most talented racers in the business, we’re looking forward to seeing Team Vision Wheel athletes and their rides in tech and contingency at this year’s Mint 400 Off-Road Festival, before they go for the overall win on both days of racing!”
Vision Wheel has been in business for over 40 years now and our customers have come to expect the very best from us. We look beyond the current trends and to the future in developing, manufacturing and distributing wheels that set future trends. Vision’s Off-Road wheels are the perfect statement for your truck or SUV. Tried, tested and conquered in the toughest off road races in the world, including the legendary Baja 1000 and the Mint 400, Vision Off-Road wheels are always ready for your next challenge!
Vision’s 2021 Mint 400 athlete roster is led by UTV Pro Turbo standout Phil Blurton, whose wins at the UTV World Championship and Baja earlier this fall make him one of the favorites to take his first Mint 400, and Unlimited Truck standout Rob MacCachren, a past overall winner of the event. Fellow Unlimited Truck driver Larry Roeseler, Unlimited Truck Spec driver Andre Laurin, and UTV racers Rodrigo Ampudia and Pleasant Cook round out Vision’s team for this year’s Great American Off-Road Race.
The Mint 400 has held the title of the toughest, most spectacular off-road race in North America since 1968 when it was first run. Initially, the race was a public relations event promoting the Mint Hotel’s annual deer hunt. but what started out s a hotel promotion soon grew into a legitimate desert race. Since its 2008 revival, “The Great American Off-Road Race” has only gotten bigger and more prestigious, and deeper fields every year only make it tougher to win.
This year’s BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 will take place from December 1-5 in Las Vegas. More information on the event for racers and spectators is available at TheMint400.com, or follow the event on Facebook and Instagram. For more information on Vision Wheel, visit www.visionwheel.com.
