Tens of thousands of off-road racers, exhibitors, and enthusiasts descended upon Fremont Street East in downtown Las Vegas on Thursday for the return of the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival. The annual event serves as tech inspection and contingency for the Great American Off-Road Race, with more than 400 race entries making their way through some of the city’s most iconic sights to get ready for a full weekend of racing in Primm on Friday and Saturday.
“Every year, the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival just gets bigger and better,” said Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli. “From the Mint 400 lifers who make a point of showing up every year to the kids who came out for the first time and are going to be fans for life now, there’s not much we do in this sport that’s cooler than this. We can’t thank all of our partners enough for making it such a badass display of the impact of off-road racing, and the city of Las Vegas and Fremont Street East for always allowing us to come in and transform a part of the city each year. Now it’s time to go racing—see you in Primm!”
The Mint 400 Off-Road Festival brings the thrill of off-road racing to the city of Las Vegas with a full day of festivities, exhibits, concerts, and much more. Passersby in the Fremont Street Experience got to see the full range of vehicles competing in this year’s event up close, from the headline Unlimited Trucks to the most unexpected builds set to compete in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Limited Race, as the contingency line once again extended far beyond the exhibitors. Countless event partners brought their A-game with interactive displays, while Breaking in a Sequence, Stillwell, The Dollheads, and Minor Strut had the music handled all afternoon in the Llama Lot.
This year’s Mint 400 Off-Road Festival was especially loaded with autograph sessions where fans could meet the sport’s most iconic names. From the Rugged Radios Driver Meet & Greet, an annual staple of the Off-Road Festival that brought more than 40 top racers and personalities together throughout the afternoon, to Magnaflow and Camburg’s signing that featured 2024 Mint 400 Grand Marshal Ivan Stewart, to many others, everyone who attended was sure to walk away with signed posters, hats, shirts, or other off-road gear.
Also on showcase throughout the festival was this year’s line of BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 gear. Featuring bold new designs reflecting this year’s 1980s theme, the full line of 2024 Mint 400 gear will be on sale all weekend, including on the start-finish midway at Primm on Friday and Saturday and online via the Dirt Co. website.
With the Off-Road Festival in the books, the 2024 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 heads to Primm for two full days of racing. Friday’s action begins bright and early as the midway opens at 6AM for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Limited Race, and racing begins with the launch of the Pre-Runner Class at 7AM. Also on track on Friday are two classes of Youth Races starting at 10:30AM and Unlimited Qualifying beginning at 1:30PM.
